Knit for Victory finished projects video

Do I have a special treat for you today! It’s time to see all the amazing finished Knit for Victory projects!

I owe a huge thank you to Rochelle New (and behind-the-scenes, Wil!) for creating this wonderful video for Knit for Victory. Really, it was all them, I had nothing to do with it—so please give them all your thanks!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this parade through 1940s knitting. You’ll be amazed and impressed by all the beautiful projects!

If you’d like to see the video even larger or are unable to see it, you can watch it on Vimeo.

Thanks again to all of the participants! I hope you found Knit for Victory as inspirational as I did. Happy (vintage) knitting!

  • I am completely blown away by all of the talent! The sweaters! The Fair Isle! Just wow. I had so much fun participating even though I’m a newbie and didn’t make anything awe inspiring lol. Next year I will!!! …there’s going to be a next year, right?? ;) ;)

Thank you so much for hosting such a fabulous knitting challenge! I loved seeing all of the wonderful projects that blossomed within this group and it was a constant source of new-knitter inspiration.
While I did not manage to finish my item for the deadline, I am pretty rockin’ proud that I learned how to knit for this challenge! I can’t wait for the next Victory Challenge, whether it is sewing, crochet, knitting, gardening, canning… Whatever! This has been a wonderful environment for stretching some skill sets. Thank you!

And of course, thank you to Rochelle and Wil for putting together an awesome video of everyone’s finished items! It is so exciting to see all of everyone’s love and dedication for vintage knitwear displayed so well. Bravo!

  • This is so wonderful! Unfortunately I only found your blog halfway through and didn’t have time to participate. I really hope that this event happens again in future. I really enjoyed all your posts and the video! Knitting is a wonderful art, and there are so many vintage designs that are still beautiful today. Thank you!

  • I’m glad knit for victory was such a great success. I would much prefer a highlights post with pictures though-maybe several posts all with different themes? I can’t really watch the video as I view on my phone. Just some feedback. But well done to all and thanks for organising it! I’m really happy with my cardigan and my first vintage knit! :)

  • Wow, these are all so gorgeous! I really wish I could have participated… unfortunately tendinitis (in both hand, no less) struck at a really bad time. I had my project picked out, but I haven’t been able to knit since. If you host this again, I would love to participate!

  • This video beats the pants of any 21st fashion show, IMO, and was such a lovely treat to watch. There is such an abundance of knitting talent in our online circle and this video really drives that point home in such a lovely way.

  • It was such fun taking part, I only learnt to knit last year so am very proud that I managed to complete a jumper and a hat for the project. Can`t wait for the next challenge now… (especially after seeing all the other knits, lots of wonderful inspiration).
