Knit for Victory: deadline Friday, plus interview at Jennifer Lauren Vintage!

Wow, can you believe we’ve finally hit the last week of Knit for Victory? It’s been nearly three months of 1940s-inspired knitting!

I wanted to post a reminder on the deadline. Knit for Victory wraps up on Friday, January 31st. Rochelle has graciously offered to help put together an amazing slideshow round-up of the finished projects, so make sure your knitting gets included. I’ve already seen sooo many great finished projects!

How to be included in the Knit for Victory round-up:

  • Finish and photograph your Knit for Victory projects by the end of the week.
  • Photos of your finished projects must be posted by Friday, January 31st, midnight (in your own time zone) to either the Flickr group photo pool, or the finished projects thread in our Ravelry group. (It’s perfectly fine to have your photos included in both places if you want to, but they have to be in at least one to get included.)
  • Note: ONLY finished projects will appear in the round-up.
  • If you tweet or share it on Instagram, don’t forget to use the hashtag #knitforvictory!

The round-up will be posted sometime in early February. πŸ™‚

And here’s a little something special in our last knit-along week! I was flattered to be interviewed by the lovely Jennifer Lauren, all about my interests in vintage knitting. Go read the interview!

Now, finish up that sleeve, bind off that hat, weave in the ends, block your knitting and let’s wrap up Knit for Victory. Woo hoo!

Golly, 10 Comments!

  • Thanks for the reminder on where to post them. So excited! I’m just about to post mine! πŸ˜€

  • eh, I thought i’d make it, but there’s no way I’ll be done with my entire sweater by friday. I’m close, well not close but 65% complete and maybe I’ll hit 80% by friday. This was a good motivation for me to start a languishing project. I look forward to seeing everyone else’s projects.

  • OMG, deadline on friday! Less than a week ago I practically frogged the whole jumper I was making and restarted again. Feel like some kind of ‘speedknitting’ champion right now! Completed about 70% in just a few days and start to believe I am able to finish it on time. Am I the only one who needs to speed things up towards the deadline?

  • Wow! I only started following your blog a short time ago so I had never seen all of your sweaters! I’m so impressed….now I want to break into my vintage knitting patterns to try one out but I told myself I would finish my existing projects first!

  • I’m nearly done! Just knitting the collar, then I’ve got to sew up the side seams and attach the sleeves… unfortunately I’m on print deadline for tomorrow, and that means I’ve been bringing work home with me to do in the evenings πŸ™

  • Jennifer’s blog is such a sweet, inspiring, perpetually lovely delight, just as you are, dear Tasha. It’s awesome that you got a chance to be interviewed by her. Congrats!!!

  • Well I’ll never make it, but I’m so glad I took on this challenge. I’ve really pushed my knitting into new realms! Thanks πŸ™‚

  • Congrats on the interview!

  • […] Folks, Knit for Victory has been fantastic, and today I’m happy to share the first of my two finished projects for the knit-along challenge. (Reminder, Friday is the deadline!) […]

  • Unfortunately I didn’t make it with my second sweater, which will only be finished tonight. But the whole challenge was great fun. I finished two sweaters in a little over 3 months, isn’t that cool? Thank you for hosting this lovely KAL and greetings from Germany,
